Poplar Grove Plantation is open Monday – Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. It is closed from the Friday before Christmas until February first, Easter Sunday and Thanksgiving Day.

We ask that you observe the following guidelines to ensure that your visit to Poplar Grove is an educational and successful encounter for students, teachers and chaperones.

DECIDE which tour program best meets your curriculum needs and objectives. You may schedule one program per visit.

GROUP RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE. Reservations are made by phoning 910-686-9518, ext. 26, the group coordinator will be glad to work with you on all details of your visit. Please be prepared with alternate dates for your visit. A confirmation form will then be mailed or faxed for you to complete and return.

ON ARRIVAL all groups must check in at the back of the manor house, bottom level. Be prepared to pay in full for all students, teachers and chaperones. One teacher from each class will be given a map and schedule of their activities. All classes will start their program at the same time. Please keep each class together with their respective teacher and chaperones.

THE PICNIC & PLAYGROUND AREA is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please note on the confirmation form if you will be using the picnic area.

LATE ARRIVALS may cause changes in scheduled programs due to time lost. Please call if you see that you will be arriving late.

BUS PARKING is beside the picnic/playground area.
