Day Wool
n’ Wood Show
It's
talent on display opening day! Be sure to visit the Wool 'n Wood Show
in the Cultural Arts Center. The Cape Fear Rug Hookers and the Cape
Fear Woodcarvers share their craftsmanship in beautiful displays and
live demonstrations. Many
exquisite artists call the plantation home and there's no better proof
than the hand-carved sea-life, animals, flowers and whimsical characters,
created by the Cape Fear
Woodcarvers. Generous members
share techniques and tips for bringing wood to life in live demonstrations
throughout the morning. With
strips of wool, a hook and a creative heart, artist-members of the Cape
Fear Rug Hookers offer an
amazing and colorful body of prize-winning work. Taking inspiration from
all aspects of life, you'll find images of pets, people and landscapes
covering the walls in the Cultural Arts Center. Members demonstrate and
offer words of wool-dom about supplies, equipment and techniques. Free
admission. It only happens once a year so, be sure to see the show before
or after you shop the Farmers Market!
